GEA Group to invest 100 crores towards expansion in India

GEA Ecoflex India has embarked upon setting up a new factory at Pune, which will be
ready by 2009. Sales offices have been set us across all the 5 metros in India and
new ones are being established in key industrial cities. This factory will
manufacture a wide range of Industrial plate heat exchangers, hygienic heat
exchangers meeting the highest standards required for food processing, large heat
recovery units unmatched in efficiency for Power, Fertilizers and Metal making
industry. This plant will also bring together two of GEA group's other companies -
GMT and GES
The company aims to target primarily the Indian market and many other countries of
Asian market of plate heat exchangers and this will thus help in setting up the
in-house production for GEA Ecoflex India Pvt Ltd. The overall market size for Plate
heat exchangers is estimates at Rs. 1200 crores annually.

India, offering energy efficient and environment friendly heat exchange products",
said Mr. Virendra Jhamb, MD, GEA Ecoflex India.
Plate heat exchangers (PHE) are widely used by all Manufacturing industries like
Food Processing industry, Power Plants, Air conditioning industry, sugar, paper,
refrigeration, marine, textile industry to name a few.
The Indian Power sector is growing and newer plants are being set up to meet the
increasing needs of power. GEA Ecoflex is contributing to the power sector through
clients such as NTPC, BHEL, Reliance, Jindal group.
